Undergraduate Exploratory Council

The Undergraduate Exploratory Council (UEC) is the official student organization for students exploring majors. We provide a platform for students to explore fields of study, offer leadership opportunities, and plan events for peers.

UEC belongs to the Senate of College Councils, the student governance organization engaged in academic affairs on campus.

Get Involved

UEC meets weekly during the fall and spring semesters. For information on upcoming meeting or events, interested students should follow us on Hornslink, Twitter, or join our GroupMe.

Activities of the UEC include

  • Hosting social and academic events for students
  • Presenting proposals and legislation to leadership
  • Deliberating and voting on Senate of College Councils legislation
  • Town hall meetings with leadership

Leadership opportunities are available, even for students in their first semester. Members may serve on committees in UEC and lead council projects in addition to being considered for one of several officer positions. All UEC members enjoy being members of the Senate of College Councils network.
