Deputy Director Danielle Alsandor

Dr. Danielle J. Alsandor is the Deputy Director of Curriculum & Enrollment and Undergraduate Studies and brings with her over 17 years of experience in higher education in both faculty and administrative positions. She assists the Senior Vice Provost and Dean with operations and team management. Her primary responsibilities include monitoring and addressing issues of climate and culture in the portfolio and fostering and ensuring consistent and high-quality project management practices are utilized for initiatives across the portfolio.

Prior to this role, Dr. Alsandor served as a faculty member in the College of Education at the University of the Incarnate Word, Louisiana State University and Valdosta State University. In each of these positions, she worked with current educators and aspiring student affairs professionals on competencies and skills beneficial to providing effective services to diverse student populations. She has taught over 25 different graduate level courses, conducted over 100 presentations and trainings and coordinated programs servicing hundreds of individuals holistically.

Before her time as a tenure-track faculty member, Dr. Alsandor worked for seven years as a student affairs professional at The University of Texas at Austin. She assisted first-generation college students, students from low-income households, students with academic needs and students of color as they worked to earn their college degree. Dr. Alsandor has educated hundreds of adult learners over her career and is humbled to know that because of her efforts, others’ lives have been enhanced as they pursued and achieved their educational and career goals.

Dr. Alsandor earned a Ph.D. and M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from The University of Texas at Austin. A proud Louisiana native, Dr. Alsandor completed a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She enjoys listening to music, watching comedy and sports and spending time with her family, friends, and furry, four-legged son Deeno.
