About the Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR)
The Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) supports student engagement in the research and creative activity of the university. We foster undergraduate engagement across the disciplines by raising the visibility of undergraduate research on campus, facilitating research opportunities related to students’ interests and goals, and helping students share their work with others.
Undergraduate research combines the “creation of knowledge” with the development of students’ skills, knowledge, and career preparedness. At the junction of The University of Texas at Austin’s commitment to undergraduate education and its role as a top public research university, students see firsthand that “what starts here changes the world.”
