This Office of Undergraduate Research faculty advisory committee provides guidance to help the Office of Undergraduate Research better serve undergraduate students and faculty across the University. Meetings take place once per semester (on Zoom or in person), and serve as an opportunity to get feedback from faculty committee members about
- ways of incentivizing and fostering faculty mentorship of undergraduate student researchers
- ways of communicating research opportunities and funding to faculty and undergraduates
- ways to better support interdisciplinarity in undergraduate research
Members of the committee are also asked to share information about undergraduate research events and opportunities with their colleagues and to occasionally review student research proposals. Members of the committee serve a 3-year renewable term.
