The University of Texas at Austin's Undergraduate College was proud to host the 2025 Student Experience Project (SEP) Institute February 12–13, welcoming teams from 16 public universities across the nation. This transformative two-day event focused on creating more supportive and effective learning environments through faculty communities of practice.
"SEP interventions are pivotal in helping our faculty cultivate a growth mindset in students. They aim to make students feel like they belong and ensure that they know their professors believe in their ability to tackle challenging tasks," said Dr. Richard J. Reddick, Senior Vice Provost and Dean of the Undergraduate College.
The Institute brought together campus leaders to explore evidence-based teaching practices and formative student feedback approaches. This collaborative work is crucial not just for student success, but for demonstrating the enduring value of our public institutions through enhanced student experiences and outcomes.
Participating institutions included leading public universities from across the country, working together to scale proven strategies for improving student success and belonging. The Institute was co-hosted with @APLU_News and @USU.
