Student Program Coordinator - Texas Success Initiative

María de los Ángeles DeSantos Quezada (Ángeles) holds an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Policy from The University of Texas at Austin. Her research focuses on immigrant student educational attainment, bilingual and bicultural education, developmental education, and K–12 ethnic studies policy. Ángeles is a McNair Scholar and earned her B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Applied Research Methods from San José State University. Born in Aguascalientes, Mexico, and raised in Jalisco, she is a proud first-generation immigrant whose passion lies in ensuring educational opportunities for all students. Before joining the Sanger Learning Center, she worked as a graduate assistant for the Transfer-Year Experience office and as a graduate research assistant at the Institute for Urban Policy Research & Analysis.

Ángeles currently serves as a Student Program Coordinator in the Office of the Texas Success Initiative, supporting students in completing TSI requirements through developmental education courses at The University of Texas at Austin.
