Bria Nicole Henderson

Bria Nicole Henderson
Senior Academic Advisor
bria.henderson@austin.utexas.edu

Before joining the Vick Advising Excellence Center, Bria Nicole was an Academic Advisor I in First-Year Advising at Texas State University. She first began championing student success while serving as program coordinator with College Forward, where she provided resources and support to college students from underserved populations. The macro impact an advisor can have on their students is Bria Nicole’s “why” and it is what she takes into every student contact she makes. She believes advisors play a crucial role in assisting students as they navigate the nuance of the university, but also in how students perceive themselves, their opportunities, and their post-grad trajectories. For this reason, Bria Nicole’s primary aim is to be a robust resource for students and advisors across UT by providing ample resources that lead to their empowerment.
