Inaugural BDP Alumni Advisory Group

In April 2016, the BDP Alumni Advisory Group convened for its inaugural meeting. The Advisory Group was formed to promote and enhance the mission of the BDPs by promoting further BDP alumni engagement, providing advice to improve the BDP experience for current and future students, and contributing to activities to raise awareness and funds to support BDP initiatives.

The members identified three main areas of focus: Student/Alumni Relations, Development, and Alumni Engagement. Since that first meeting, the Advisory Group has worked with the BDP Office to host an alumni panel and networking event for current BDP students and piloted an Alumni/Student Mentorship program, which has launched in full with the start of the fall 2017 semester. The Advisory Group has also developed ideas for BDP’s participation in UT’s annual 40 for 40 Campaign, employer and internship site participation in the BDP Poster Session, and preparations for the 15th Anniversary Celebration.

If you would like more information, or are interested in joining the BDP Alumni Advisory Group, please contact the BDPs.
