The purpose of the Quantitative Reasoning flag is to equip students with skills that are necessary for understanding the types of quantitative arguments they will encounter in their adult and professional lives. To that end, courses carrying the Quantitative Reasoning flag ask students to interpret quantitative models and apply quantitative reasoning to real-world problems.
Once the flags have been fully implemented, all undergraduates will be required to earn credit for at least one course flagged for Quantitative Reasoning. Information on requirements for individual degree programs can be found in the current Undergraduate Catalog.
