Research Week showcases the exciting research and creative work that undergraduates are pursuing every day at UT. By presenting at a poster session, symposium, or exhibit, you can receive feedback on your work and gain an impressive credential for applying to graduate schools or jobs. Check with your academic advisor or your faculty mentor to see if there are opportunities to present your work at an event hosted by your college or department. Deadlines for college and departmental events vary, and you should contact your academic advisor for details.

Presenters are eligible for poster session awards, including a $1000 audience choice award, a $500 poster design award, and several presentation awards. Submitted poster PDFs will go through an initial round of judging prior to the poster session based on the effectiveness of their visual design; it is therefore important for presenters to register to attend a poster design workshop. Students whose posters advance to the second round of judging will be notified in advance of the event, and will speak with faculty judges during the event.
