All UT Austin courses approved to fulfill Core Curriculum requirements must first be reviewed by the Core Curriculum Advisory Committee (CCAC) and then submitted to the Undergraduate College Advisory Committee (UCAC) and the Faculty Council who will certify that the Core Curriculum courses adhere to the requirements of TAC 4.28 curriculum. Once approved at the university level, the certified Core Curriculum course list will be submitted to the THECB who will acknowledge receipt of, and approve, the proposed changes to the UT Austin Core Curriculum.
- Proposals are routed through your college/school dean’s office and must be approved at that level before the Undergraduate College can route proposals through the approving bodies.
- Submitting early will allow enough time for clarification or adjustments to proposals, if needed, to get approvals made in time for course inventory deadlines and Course Schedule publication.
The Core Course proposal system is now accepting proposals for additions and changes to the 2025-26 Core Course List through April 15, 2024.
